HDScan Specification Sheet

 

Description

 

HDScan is a free application that simplifies the scanning and submitting of submission requirements (i.e. X-rays, Periodontal Charts, Explanation of Benefits, etc.) via HDS Online.HDScan is compatible with the majority of Epson Perfection Photo scanners. Below are a select number of scanners that have been tested and are known to work with HDScan.

 

 

Minimum Requirements for HDScan Application

 

Compatible scanner or digital x-ray equipment (images in GIF or JPEG format)

32 MB RAM

Windows 95/98/NT/XP/WIN 7 operating system

50 MB of available disk space

CD ROM

Connection to the Internet

Registration to HDS Online

Note: All scanners noted above have a transparency unit or filmstrip adapter that can accommodate periapical films.If you frequently scan a complete Full Mouth Series and/or Panoramic films, please see individual scanner specifications at http://www.epson.com/ to be sure that the transparency unit or filmstrip adapters have the ability to meet the scanning needs of your office.

Installation 

  1. Install the Scanner according to the manufacturer�s instructions.
  2. Uninstall previous version of HDScan.
  3. Download and Install the HDScan Software
  4. For Windows 7 users, set HDScan 1.4.7a to run as administrator.
  5. Verify the correct scanner driver is selected by opening HDScan, selecting File/Select Source and choosing your scanner driver.
  6. Contact the HDS Professional Relations Department to schedule an HDScan training session.
